DOWNTOWN

Watermark On Main

If anything signals that our sleepy little beach community has turned a new page, it’s the new swanky upscale restaurant on the corner of Chestnut and Main Street. Watermark on Main is the collaboration of long time resident, Mark Hartley and new-in-town Jim Rice.... Read more

Cafe Fiore Restaurant and Martini Bar

Café Fiore is located in the heart of downtown Ventura across the street from the Bella Maggiore Inn. The menu features many mouth-watering dishes. My personal favorite is Agnolotti di Pollo e Spinaci al Marsal (homemade ravioli stuffed with savory roasted chicken and spinach in a marsala... Read more

Maria Bonita

This is by far our favorite gourmet Mexican restaurant in Ventura! In fact, I was never a fan of mole until I ate at Maria Bonita! The place is small, cozy and decorated with wall art as colorful as the dishes they serve. Depending on how spicy you like your food, you can choose from a few different moles... Read more

The Busy Bee Café

One of Ventura’s oldies but goodies, this diner has been a fixture on Main Street since 1963. Already a favorite meeting place for downtown merchants, the owners created mass appeal once they decided to embrace a time when a good meal meant a burger, fries and a shake. They tossed a juke box in... Read more

Spencer Makenzie’s Fish Company

Not far from downtown’s Main Street you’ll find a small seafood restaurant in a boat-shaped building. Lucky for us, owner John Karayan had a dream of opening a budget friendly quality seafood restaurant and has dedicated the last 20 years perfecting unique... Read more

HARBOR VILLAGE

Andria’s Seafood Restaurant and Market

This local favorite isn’t fancy, but the tasty food is well worth the line out the door (that’s me at the end of line, not minding the wait). For twenty years Andria’s has been serving healthy portions of fresh, quality seafood caught by local fisherman. Everything on the menu is scrumptious. Personally, I can never resist a cup of clam chowder.... Read more

The Greek at the Harbor

OPA! Okay, I really don’t know what that means but you just may have an urge to shout it out when you dine at The Greek at the Harbor. This is the only Ventura restaurant where you can experience authentic Greek food while professional belly-dancers entertain you. The restaurant is located along the waterfront so outside dining is pleasurable and fun! Reservations are highly recommended, especially on weekend evenings.

MIDTOWN COAST

Cappelletti Trattoria

This Ventura restaurant is one of Ventura’s best kept secrets, Cappelletti Tratorria, is just steps away from the Inn on the Beach and features tasty genuine Italian dishes at reasonable prices. The ambiance is cozy, casual and friendly. After spending a day in the sun or shopping downtown let the evening ocean breeze relax you as you enjoy a glass a wine from the extensive wine list with your dinner in the heated patio. Reservations are recommended on summer weekends.

Joannafina's

joannafinas As any foodie knows there’s no better way into local culture than by tasting the regional cuisine! Since 1988, Joannafina’s Mexican Café has been serving up authentic Mexican dishes in one of Southern California’s most authentic beach communities. Owner’s Delfin and Joanne (you get the restaurant’s name now), cooked up their idea... Read more
