Two Trees

I am happy to find out the Story behind the two trees, I am looking to move back to my hometown of Oxnard, but I always remember the Ventura trees...in my search for images of my memories I came accross them, I had no idea how they came to be.:)

don't have your answer but I told my daughter I wanted to hike up there before I died. so she did. Said there is a road almost all the way. when they got there nothing but cow dung.

Yes, they are on private property. The owners used to allow hikers but because of abuse (probably graffiti) they closed it off. Many still hike there, and some have been cited for trespassing.

Hike to 2 Trees

I've hiked there numerous times over my 40+ years of living in and around Ventura and I've never been cited for trespassing. It is on private property but don't worry about being cited. The cops have better things to do.

Fines for tresspassing

They are now enforcing the no trespassing rule. Graffiti and litter by a few ruined it for many. $250.00 1st ticket, Then skyrockets from there. Richard Atmore leasesvthe property for his free ranging cattle. The ranchers finally had enough of the abuse,
