Two miles of sandy beach and natural sand dunes make up the
family-friendly San Buena Ventura State Beach.
Along with swimming, this is a fun place for boogie-boarding, playing beach volleyball (the courts are already setup), and having a picnic.
The large park area just on the other side of the dunes has
many picnic tables and free standing barbeque grills.
There’s also a snack bar and rental site nearby if you wish to rent
beach-equipment, bikes or 4-wheel cycles.
A bike/jogging trail also loops through the park and connects the state beach to pier, c-street, and downtown.
If you’re really ambitious, you can actually head all the way
up to Hobson County Park!
This
park host many events including corporate games and volleyball
tournaments and can be busy on weekends.
Dogs
are allowed in the park but not on the beach. If you need to keep up
with your Facebook friends, however, you’ll be able to do so since the
San Buenaventura State Beach now offers AT&T Wi-Fi Service.
How’s
that for progress!
