Prosser's Breads

Does anyone but me remember Prosser's Bakery on Ventura Avenue? In the late 50's they closed and a mattress factory took it's place.

Prosser bakery trucks
by: Joanne

Yes, I remember the bakery trucks they had that would drive through the neighborhood of ventura avenue. The trucks kinda looked like surfing woody wagons, but the back would open up and had very cool sliding trays so you could choose what you wanted from them. This was in the very early sixties.

My mother worked at Prosser's Breads for over 10 years. She was one of the last two to work at Prosser's before it closed.
