I live on McKee street why is there no mention of the apricot orchards and the drying bins. My house sits on the location of a large barn. at one time this area was known as the apricot capital of the world. When I bought this house there were 3 large apricot trees. most of my neighbors had apricot trees. When my trees died my sister cursed me, I told her they were very old.

Apricots and Berries
by: Anonymous

We lived on Leighton, and there were apricot orchards everywhere alongside the avenue and in our yards; and we picked berries all along the railroad tracks on Ocean Drive; it was pretty much breakfast, lunch, and dinner with our fish when we were poor surfer kids :)
