One of the prettiest parks in Ventura! No high thrill waves here, which
make this beach a great place for families with younger children who
want to get in the water.
Couples can take a romantic stroll down a walking path towards the jetties and cozy up on a waterside bench.
From there, you can watch sailboats drift in and out of the
Ventura Harbor.
And if you’re in the mood for a beach picnic, Marina Park is the ticket!
There's plenty of picnic tables and barbeque grilles and a very large grassy area that makes for a comfortable place to kick back or toss a Frisbee around.
Young kids can play on the swings and slides that overlook the
beach below.
They love to explore and play in this big ship and there's always a line to take a ride across the zipline, swashbuckler style. Check out this video...
At one point, there were also basketball courts at this park, but a large storm took the courts with it. Facilities include bathrooms and outdoor shower.
Getting There: Take Seaward Ave towards the beach. Pass Harbor Blvd and make a left on Pierpont Blvd. Follow Pierpont into the park. Ample parking.
Cost: Free
