Ghost Whisperer

by Mindy

Several years ago, an episode of the TV show "Ghost Whisperer" was presented in a "pop up video" format. Throughout the episode, little bubbles would pop up on the screen containing interesting facts. One of these bubbles said something about the idea of a city being built on top of another city, with Ventura being cited as one of two examples of this concept. (I think Edinburgh was the other one.) Does anybody have any idea what this could possibly mean? I haven't been able to figure it out.

ventura cellers
by: Anonymous

I used to work at 3 star liquors on main street there was a celler. It is said that all these old buildings had them. In fact you could walk for blocks under main street providing doors were unlocked or you had keys. The old ventura hotel has one, it was listed AS A BOMB SHELTER. The corner brick building by the ventura theater also has one. My friend worked there when it was a jewerly store.

City under a city
by: Robin

I saw the same t,v episode and have also been trying to find this out. There are soppose to be old streets with old fasioned light poles. These old streets make up the entire town of Ventura. A old city that they built the new one on. Looked very real. Was always hoping this was true..
