As a casual shopper strolling down Main Street, you may not have home improvement on your mind. That is, of course, until you set foot inside Ventura’s most fun & unique furniture store in town.

A staple in downtown Ventura for 36-years, For Your Home offers everything from retro-sixty style dinettes to modern entertainment centers.


There are plenty of furniture gems in between too, such as the coffee table with the carved fishing stream running through it and the rustic appaloosa chair made of poplar.

The store is quite larger than it looks from the outside with a warm and inviting atmosphere that draws you in to discover new pieces including beds, desks, lighting and art.

Long before downtown revitalization began, owners Kevin and Brian Seelos believed in its potential and are very pleased with the unique downtown presence they have achieved over the years.

No doubt they are doing something right to attract the likes of Hollywood: Virginia Madsen of Sideways fame, Dennis Franz and Kenny Loggins are loyal customers. Not to mention, Mayor Christy Weir, and City Manager, Rick Cole. Don’t worry, though, you don’t have to have a Hollywood budget to shop here.

Most of the sales team, including Sales Manager Greg Bouffard, are long time residents of Ventura and enjoy living in the area (a boogie board enthusiast, Greg likes to catch the waves at his favorite Emma Wood Beach spot). The experienced team at For Your Home can assist you in picking furniture that fits your personal budget and tastes.
