Located seven miles north of Ventura, Faria Beach Campground is a small
looped park with ocean side campsites.
Like its sister, Hobson Beach campground, the park is operated by the county and is mostly suited to RVs but tent camping is available.
This
is a first-come, first serve campground with 42 sites, 15 with full
hookups. Flushable toilets, water and showers are available. A camp
store and concession stand is also on site. Because of its circular
design, this campground can feel a little boxed in and noisy. Still, it
does offer beach side camping and activities include surfing, swimming
and horseshoes.
Heading
towards Ventura, you’ll find Faria Beach, a small sandy cove between
ocean front homes. The mild waves here entice beginning surfers and
families.
There’s
no fee to use this beach and free parking is available along the
highway opposite the beach. Due to its size and popularity it can be a
bit crowded and parking can get scarce.
Cost: $30.00, $45.00 with hookups. $1.00 per pet
wiht a 2 pet limit (must be leashed). Day use is 7:00am to sunset.
Getting There: Exit U.S. Hwy 101 at the Seacliff
exit. Turn right onto Seacliff. Continue past the Rincon Parkway.
Campground is on the right.
