Drug store on California and Main

I'm interested in knowing about the drug store with the fountain located on the corner of California and Main Street during the 1950's. Do you know where I might find a photo of this business?

Well, there were two drug stores within a block of each other on Main Street in the 1950's...

The drug store on California and Main (500 E. Main) was The Bush Drug Company, but the one with the soda fountain was the Franz & Franz Rexall Drug Store at 391 E. Main, at the corner of Oak and Main St.

Both buildings have been altered since then. The Rexall Drug Store building is now occupied by American Apparel, and the Bush Drug Store is now Cafe Bariloche.

So far we haven't been able to find any photos of these stores as they were in the 1950's, but we'll keep looking...

A druggist in 1880

A relative of mine - Robert William Forth - profession listed as a Druggist is listed in San Buenaventura California in 1880. He arrived by ship in 1879 and then we lost trace of him. Wondered if he ever practiced in that early community. Any thoughts?
