Arroyo Verde Park Trail

By Brian Larkowski

Arroyo Verde Park is one of the nicest in Ventura and is dog friendly. It is a great place to kick back and relax or get some serious exercise. There is a horseshoe pit with back Arroyo Verde Parkboards and covered pavilions with BBQ's that can be reserved. It has a variety of beautiful shade trees with a large grassy, open center area.

There are miles of trails surrounding Arroyo Verde Park on 3 sides that offer hikers vistas of the ocean, Channel Islands, Two Trees and depending on how high you go, you could catch glimpses of Point Mugu and the Topa Topa Bluffs.

The most popular trail takes you on a loop that takes up in elevation and brings you back around to the park. It has a number of access points to shorten or lengthen your hike. You could come here for lunch and walk around the trails in 30-40 minutes...
