Welcome to Fun-in-Ventura.com!

Let me introduce myself. My name is Angela. I have a fun husband, two awesome step kids, a job, a dog and a cat. Oh, and I’ve lived in Ventura most of my life.

Michael and I love to travel but with our busy lives that’s not always possible. Instead, we explore Ventura together like out-of-town tourists any chance we get. Like many blended families (or traditional ones for that matter), finding things we can all enjoy is not without its challenges. Still, we share many fun times together like camping at Rincon Beach, hiking or just wolfing down dessert at our favorite family diner.

Along the way, we’ve met many new friends and discovered exciting things about the community in which we live in and love. Not so long ago, we decided to put all this “research” to good use and started Fun-in-Ventura.com. You could say that this was a rather foolish decision given the fact that neither of us knew the first thing about websites! Nonetheless, the result is a completely organic homegrown site about Ventura by locals who live, work and play here.

The recommendations on this site are not paid advertisements, just our personal notes of places and people we think are neat. For locals and visitors alike, we do our best to give the inside scoop on the best things to do and see as well as how to get the best value for your dollar.
